3 May 2023 – UM-AMMI MedTech Career Fair

203 students attended the UM-AMMI MedTech Career Fair held at the University of Malaya campus in Kuala Lumpur. This event was a collaboration between UM’s BioMedical Engineering Students’ Club and AMMI, with Abbott, B. Braun and Teleflex as the event sponsors.

16 March 2023 – AMMI delegates led by AMMI Chairman, Mr Andy Lee and Vice-Chairman, Mr Samuel Pooranakaran met with Dr Helmy Haja Mydin,  Special Advisor to the Minister of Health during the Courtesy Call with Ministry of Health.  Also in attendance was Puan Salbiah Yaakop, Director, Policy, International and Industry Facilitation Division, MDA.

2 March 2023 – AMMI held its Q1 Progress Meeting and CEO Networking at Sheraton Petaling Jaya.  The event started with a Networking Lunch, followed by the Progress Meeting and the following presentations:

• Presentation by Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corp.
  Topic: Tax Incentives for the medical device sector
  Speaker: Dr. Harcharan Singh, Senior Vice President
• Presentation by Northern Corridor Implementation Authority
  Topic: Incentives for talent development and testing for companies located in Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak
  Speaker: Mr Amir Sharifuddin Nayodin, Senior Manager
• Presentation by Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Bhd
  Topic: Progress on the Utilisation of RM10 million Matching Grant
  Speaker: Mr Baharuddin Muslim, Vice President

After the session, guests adjourned for Networking Cocktails at the foyer.
