| AMMI held its 2nd HR Forum & Networking Meeting in Penang, at G Hotel Gurney recently. The event was organised exclusively for HR Professionals of Member Companies. A total of 24 participants from Ambu, B,Braun, Bard, Diptech Industries, Epsilon, Haemonetics, Ideal Healthcare, KLS Martin, Lake Region Medical, Medipro, Molnlycke Healthcare, Paramit, Penchem, Symmetry Medical, Synergy Sterilization, Teleflex and Texchem Lifesciences came together to share and discuss HR issues. AMMI Chairman Mr Hitendra Joshi and Board Director, Mr Yap Kee Keong were present to support the event.
The objectives of the meeting and networking session were (1) To share best practices in building strong organisation and filling competent employment in medical device industry (2) To facilitate open discussion on common interest related to human resources (HR), talent development, salary scale alignment for common benefits in medical device industry and (3) To exchange new ideas on HR issues. Mr Joshua Chong (Senior HR Manager from Ambu) presented on “How Relevant is HR’s Role in Today’s Organization”, while Encik Ahmad Nordin (Assistant General Manager, Human Resource Group, Texchem Corporation) shared his expertise in Handling Industrial Relations.
