Building Trust in AI-Powered Manufacturing: Applying AI Safety Principles to Intelligent Factory Operations
On 30 October 2026, the Association of Malaysian Medical Industries (AMMI) successfully organized its Global Expert Seminar, “Building Trust in AI-Powered Manufacturing: Applying AI Safety Principles to Intelligent Factory Operations,” held at Amari SPICE Hotel, Penang.
The seminar opened with welcome remarks by Mr Samuel Pooranakaran, AMMI Chairman, who underscored the importance of keeping pace with AI adoption while ensuring its implementation is responsible, safe, and guided by appropriate governance.
The session was delivered by Mr Jason Chan, Vice President, Data and Innovation, UL Solutions, who shared insights on AI safety frameworks, risk management, and practical approaches to building trust in AI-enabled manufacturing environments.
The seminar was attended by approximately 40 representatives from AMMI member companies, providing an opportunity for members to gain valuable perspectives on the safe and effective adoption of AI in intelligent factory operations.
